Our Mission
Connecting from the Heart works to heal and uplift people going through hard times, using music, meditation & mental wellness videos and in-person workshops.
Our videos are accessed through this website and our YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/@connectingfromtheheart).
Our in-person workshops are offered primarily in western Oregon, though we occasionally travel to more distant regions.
Both our videos and our workshops are offered entirely free of cost.
We are seeking to serve:
1. People suffering from anxiety, isolation & PTSD
2. People in recovery from addiction
3. Healthcare patients, workers & caregivers
4. Currently and formerly incarcerated people & their families
5. People going through the grief process
The Story Behind CFTH
At the start of the pandemic, our music team at Unity of the Valley in Eugene, Oregon began making “Connecting from the Heart” videos. As the world moved into shut-down and isolation, we were determined to keep a sense of connection alive.
Music and meditation have an immense power to heal and to soothe, to calm frayed nerves and uplift spirits. And though countless miles might separate us, we find that videos have a tremendous ability to convey love and hope.
“Connecting from the Heart” has now evolved into a fully incorporated 501c3 nonprofit organization, and has earned the GuideStar GOLD seal of transparency. Though we are an independent organization, Unity of the Valley has graciously let us continue to record at their wonderful facility. We are funded entirely from grants and donations, and offer our videos freely to everyone, with the hopes of bringing healing, comfort and inspiration to all.
From our first session on March 17, 2020, this has been an incredible journey. We are delighted beyond words that you are with us today.
